Final Letter

Dear friend,
I have just finished this amazing book called The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I couldn't put it down and I recommend you read it as soon as possible. To spoil the book as much as possible I'm going to tell you all my favorite passages.
The first one was when Charlie began buying marijuana from Bob on page 147. It's fascinating the detail Charlie delves into concerning how Bob lives. He describes everything from his hobbies to his family life. This scene truly captures the idea that Charlie is a wallflower, watching and taking in the environment around him without getting involved. Another favorite must have been when Charlie read his favorite poem to Patrick. Charlie talked about this poem for a while before he actually read it to Patrick. This made the moment when he did read it extra special, however the poem was different than expected. Bob ends up explaining that he heard the poem was written by someone who committed suicide and it completely changes the scene. This drastic change is powerful in revealing more about Charlie. The Perks of Being a Wallflower has also had an impact on me. Nothing spoke to me more in this book than when Sam was about to leave for college and Charlie had one last talk with her. She told Charlie that to be a friend you must not just be nice and listen to one another. Though those characteristics are important you must also be honest with your friend and yourself. Sometimes when someone is hurting them self a true friend will intervene and tell you who you are honestly. "Do what you want to do and be who you really are". Wise words from Sam that I will always remember. Then Charlie had a chance with Sam, finally, at the end of the book but he failed. Miserably. If Charlie learned anything he must have also learned that never pass up a good thing. My apologies for revealing the end of the book but it was frustrating. Read this book if you want a taste of something different and refreshing. Hugs and kisses

The song The Scientist by Coldplay is most important to me because it seems to speak out to me like no other song has. It may just be something that I experience but if I could somehow share the feelings I get then that would make me happy. I hope you can listen to this song and appreciate it as much as I do. These songs are great for just relaxing or just looking for some easy good tunes.

2.     My dad has a great big belly

3.     My mom has the most exotic art

Letter Assignment 3

Have I ever told you how beautiful butterflies are? It will be impossible to describe but I will try. We have all seen butterflies but no one has ever really seen one. How they catch the light when they flutter through the air. Butterflies float and bounce through the air effortlessly and fun heartedly. They bounce through life without a care or burden in the world. They are truly fascinating creatures to be able to float their way without a care in a world brimming with turmoil and full of deceit.

Glory days are relative. I personally do not believe that I have experienced my glory days. My finest moments and greatest experiences are only just beginning. If one assumes that his glory days have already been accomplished then that means life is only on the decline right? I believe that the attitude alone can effect how you enjoy your life. If I haven't experienced my glory days then I believe that the last year of high school consisted of my glory days. I was most active in my community, friends, and school and I accomplished a lot.

I'm always surprised during the holidays. Families all come together from all over the globe to celebrate a holiday. It is always interesting to see how the different families mingle and socialize. They are all so nice but no one is very honest. This seems to detract from the atmosphere of welcome, warmth, and togetherness.

Letter Assignment 2

October 6, 2008

Dear Friend,

I am writing to you because I think the time has come to tell you.  I can’t even begin to explain how sorry I am for what I have done. I just need to know that we can still be friends even after everything we’ve been through. Buddy, I think you of all people would understand that because we’ve been friends for ages. Now I know we’re suppose to label our foods in the fridge but I just could not help myself. Your supreme, extra cheese, double chili, half-pound burrito was calling out my name. It was horrible of me to do that…so this is my life. And I want you to know that I will try my hardest so this will never happen again. The reason I wrote this letter is because I want you to know I’m an honest person without the guts to speak to you in person.

Sorry, Justin

Dear Seth
Wow, it must be strange to get a letter from me. Listen, not much has happened since the incident and I want you to know all is forgiven. It wouldn't hurt to hear an apology, but thats not necessary. We just want you to know we understand that it was an accident and you are welcome back. Hope to hear from you soon...
